Each year, heart disease claims the lives of more Americans than any other ailment or injury. As a result, Jupiter Medical Center is continually searching for ways to advance the level of cardiac care we provide. This year marks the two-year anniversary of our partnership with Mount Sinai Heart New York, a program ranked in the top ten nationally for cardiology and cardiac surgery by U.S. News & World Report. In this relatively short period of time, this clinical affiliation has positioned us to achieve a key strategic priority: to establish Jupiter Medical Center as a regional center of excellence in cardiovascular services.
Since 2014, we have seen a steady increase in cardiology patient volume and in the fall of 2016 we completed the renovation of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Center. In the coming year, we will move toward becoming an open heart program. This achievement will be the culmination of several years of careful planning, renovation of facilities, investing in new equipment, and expanding Jupiter Medical Center’s team of qualified and experienced professionals.
Through our collaboration with our Mount Sinai Heart New York colleagues, experts from both institutions share their expertise, best practices and protocols for improved patient care. We conduct joint conferences to enable the exchange of knowledge among physicians at both institutions.
In addition to sharing best practices and technological expertise, our doctors at Jupiter Medical Center are able to send patients to Mount Sinai Heart New York for complex surgeries that utilize the newest technologies available. Ease of access to the Mount Sinai Health System is at the heart of this partnership. Through our Guest Services program, we are able to provide seamless care coordination for patients who need complex procedures not readily available in our community.Mount Sinai Heart New York at Jupiter Medical Center offers the following services:
