Clinics Can Help Celebrates Most Successful Year to Date

 

It was a big year for Palm Beach County based nonprofit, Clinics Can Help, as the organization served a record number of clients, launched the new KINDER Moms committee and project, assisted one hundred families get the proper sleeping arrangements for their newborn babies through the C.R.I.B.S. program, held their first major fundraiser, and launched a new brand identity including a new logo and website.

 

The nonprofit is the largest medical reuse organization in the state of Florida and works to create greater access to care by providing medical equipment that gives children and adults a greater chance of recovery, added mobility, dignity, and overall, a greater quality of life.

 

Highlights from 2014 include:

• The addition of 1450 new clients, along with over 200 returning clients receiving more than $650,000 worth of equipment including 411 wheelchairs, 432 walkers, 180 shower chairs, 131 home hospital beds, 81 nebulizers, 72 electric wheelchairs, 34 patient lifts and over 3,000 packages of wound care and incontinence supplies.

• The creation of the KINDER Project, which is guided by the KINDER Moms group, a committee that assists CCH in what medical equipment they should be supplying specifically for the needs of pediatric patients and their families.

• The donation of one hundred cribs to families with newborn babies and infants to ensure the child has a safe sleeping environment.

• The donation of more than $20,000 worth of medical equipment to the School District of Palm Beach County, as well as local school medical and nursing programs.

• The donation of $10,000 of supplies and equipment to local free clinics to ensure they have the means to care for patients in need.

• The addition of Silvia Garcia and Andrea McMillian to Clinics Can Help’s Board of Directors.

• New branding of the organization, including the creation of a new logo and the launch of the organization’s website. The new website is an interactive tool that will serve as a more streamlined service for those interested in receiving medical equipment and/or making a donation.

 

Looking towards 2015, CCH is planning its 2nd annual Clinics Can Help Golf Classic in the Spring, as well undergoing a feasibility study to consider moving in to new space to help the growing number of clients they are serving each year.
