Columbia Hospital recently honored the winners of its 2006 Physician Recognition Awards. The winners are Dr. Paul Seltzer, Outstanding Physician Award; Dr. David Stern, the Gavel Award; Dr. Gennaro Sagliocca, Patient Advocate Award; and Dr. Gaby Gemayel, John Hancock Award. Also honored were Dr. Michael Nowak, Dermatology Fellowship Attending of the Year Award; Dr. Steven Borzak, Family Practice Residency Attending of the Year Award; and Dr. Warren Reuther, Internship Attending of the Year Award.
Dr. Seltzer is an orthopedic surgeon who has been at the hospital since 1985. Dr. Stern is an internist who has been at the hospital since 1983. Dr. Sagliocca is a nephrologist and has been with the hospital since 1991. Dr. Gemayel is an internist who has been with the hospital since 2000. Dr. Nowak is a dermatologist and has been with the hospital since 2003. Dr. Reuther is a neuroradiologist and has been with the hospital since 2004. Dr. Nowak is a cardiologist on staff at our teaching partner, JFK Medical Center.
