A group of 27 employees from the three HCA facilities in Palm Beach County recently volunteered their time and home building talents at a Habitat for Humanity home in Jupiter. The volunteers from Columbia Hospital, JFK Medical Center, and Palms West Hospital donned construction leather gloves and goggles instead of scrubs and latex exam gloves to work at a home under construction in the Kennedy Estates in Jupiter. Some of the jobs the volunteers tackled included installation of hurricane shutters and window panels, putting up fences in the back yard, layout of interior walls, roofing, landscaping and planting of two trees.
