Cook Medical Donates $2 Million to Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute Foundation

Cook Medical recently donated $2 million to Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute Foundation to establish the “Barry T. Katzen Medical Director Endowment Fund.” As founder and medical director of Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute in Miami, Barry T. Katzen, M.D., demonstrates a true understanding of interventional medicine and what it can do in place of medication and surgery. Dr. Katzen is the first to hold the chair position named after him.

“I’m incredibly honored, humbled and grateful to Cook Medical for its philanthropy, which will make possible the Institute’s ongoing leadership in and commitment to multidisciplinary cardiovascular care. Visionary medical leadership remains a great challenge and this endowment of my position will create continuity for future success,” Dr. Katzen said.
