Eris Thomas, CEO of Coral Gables Executive Physicians, a concierge medical firm, was presented for the first time with a bronze Stevie® Award, also known as the American Business Award at The 10th Annual American Business Awards for Women in Business. Thomas won the award in the category of Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Business Services, 10 or Less Employees, All Other Industries.As CEO of Coral Gables Executive Physicians, Thomas plays an integral role in developing what has become an increasingly important force in the medical field: high-quality and personalized medical care. Under the direction of Thomas and her husband, Dr. Robert H. Thomas, the practice, focused on internal medicine, has increased revenues by over 30 percent every year since the couple opened it in March 2007, and it is expected to increase revenues by 40 percent in 2013.
In her position, Thomas sets the practice’s strategy, vision, and direction. She has created a culture where excellence, respect, and compassion are fundamental goals. She manages operations, formulates the design, and executes the quality of programs and services. She prepares the annual budget, is responsible for all HR issues, and handles marketing/PR and community relations.
