“We are happy to see that despite the difficulties of this past year, our customers and employees at Subaru of Pembroke Pines were not deterred. This hospital is important to us, because they treat the children of our community, and that includes the children of our employees,” said Craig Zinn, president and CEO. The money will go towards the four-floor expansion that will add 72 new patient rooms, two cardiac hybrid operating rooms, two surgical suites, intensive care and cardiac intensive care units, an intraoperative MRI, play zones, rehab, and family support areas.

Following the check presentation, the hospital invited Craig Zinn to their quick care facility known as “Short Stop” to witness the unveiling of its new name.  In recognition, the area designed to treat minor emergencies in a quick and friendly manner, was renamed Craig Zinn Automotive Group Shortstop. “We are honored to recognize Craig Zinn’s contributions to this hospital. The Zinn family has made a difference for our children and families with their philanthropy,” said Memorial Healthcare System CEO Aurelio Fernandez, FACHE.

Three of the healthcare system’s Golden Retriever therapy dogs were on hand to greet the executives and even paused to take pictures in the Subaru Share the Love event wrapped vehicle.
