During National Trauma Awareness Month, Delray Medical Center received proclamations from the Healthcare District of Palm Beach County for achieving Level I Trauma Center verification by the State of Florida. Delray Medical Center is one of 22 verified trauma centers in Florida and is one of only four Level I Trauma Centers in South Florida. As a Level I Trauma Center, Delray Medical Center continually expands the body of knowledge in the field of trauma through clinical and basic research programs, applying this new knowledge to the treatment of the injured patient and disseminating the knowledge throughout the medical community.
