General surgical residents at Delray Medical Center, Dr. Philip Pack and Dr. Scott Moradian, receive top honors for their wound research at the 2015 Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons, held in Chicago, IL.

The research, titled, “Acute Minced Expansion Grafts of Traumatic Wounds,” was completed entirely at Delray Medical Center under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Klapper, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon on the medical staff at the hospital. These advancements can potentially allow clinical wound care patients at Delray Medical Center to heal exponentially faster. The residents’ research won first place in the podium presentation and second place in the scientific poster competition. The findings have been accepted for medical journal publication.
