The Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County (DOH-Miami-Dade) is offering appointments for the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is available to individuals 5 years of age and older while the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine is available to individuals 18 years of age and older.

In addition, there are booster recommendations for all three available COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.

For individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series:

Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose, when available. Some individuals may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, while others may prefer to get a different booster. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots of COVID-19 vaccine.
