“It is an honor to contribute to the success of our next-generation physicians by providing a cost-cutting measure to help them reach their medical education goals,” said Kent. “I’m extending my commitment for an additional four years, making a total pledge of $500,000.”

Broward Health has a multiyear agreement with Meharry Medical College, a historically Black academic college in Nashville, Tennessee, whose students complete their clinical rotations in internal medicine and general surgery at Broward Health Medical Center.

“Mark saw a financial need and invested in our aspiring doctors,” said Scott Ford, president of the Broward Health Foundation. “We are grateful for this significant gift and the impact it will have on these students.”

Broward Health is committed to providing top-quality educational opportunities in an outstanding clinical learning environment and presents administrative support to all physicians training across our system.
