Well-known and respected Pulmonologist, Dr. Gregory Pape returns to Marathon and to the staff at Fishermens Hospital after moving to Roanoke, VA.
While in Roanoke, Dr. Pape was a Medical Intensivist teacher for the Internal Medicine Medical Education Department at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was also an Associate Professor teaching the Discipline of Pulmonology at Edward via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Pape then went on to become the team leader for the catheter related bloodstream infection charter team.
Dr. Pape is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. He graduated medical school from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, completed both his internship and residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA, and then went on to complete a fellowship of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.
