Palm Beach County Medical Society (PBCMS) installed Marc Hirsh, MD, as the President on November 17 at the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion. The 2018 Palm Beach County Medical Society President Brandon Luskin, MD, passed the gavel to Marc Hirsh, MD, who will serve during a very special year — the 100-year Centennial of the Palm Beach County Medical Society.
 
As a nationally recognized musculoskeletal ultrasound instructor, Marc Hirsh, MD, FACP, of The Hirsh Center in Delray Beach, Florida, is a leader in the field of rheumatology. As the Palm Beach County Arthritis Foundation’s Medical Honoree, Dr. Hirsh is devoted to raising local awareness about arthritis. He volunteers his time toward fighting arthritis and finding a cure for the nation’s number one cause of disability.
 
Born and raised in Miami, Dr. Hirsh graduated Phi Beta Kappa with his Bachelor of Science degree and his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. After an internship at Northwestern University in Chicago, he completed his residency in internal medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami. He served on the faculty for one year as chief resident before completing his subspecialty training in rheumatology at the University of Miami.
 
Since 2003, Dr. Hirsh has successfully helped patients in South Florida communities get effective pain relief from rheumatoid arthritis, musculoskeletal conditions, and sports injuries. He uses advanced technologies and regenerative treatments like ultrasound, platelet-rich plasma, and customized braces. Dr. Hirsh and his team focus on providing friendly, personalized, compassionate health care in a state-of-the-art environment.
