
Dr. Pascal J. Goldschmidt, Dean Emeritus of the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, was presented with the American Heart Association’s prestigious Cor Vitae Heart Award at the Miami Heart Ball.
Dr. Goldschmidt is an internationally renowned cardiologist and cardiovascular researcher and serves as Dean Emeritus of the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. He is passionate about the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association and served as chair for the 2015 Miami Heart Ball.
Dr. Italo Linfante, the Medical Director of Interventional Neuroradiology at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Baptist Health Neuroscience Center, was presented with the American Heart Association’s prestigious Cor Vitae Stroke Award.
Dr. Linfante has participated in numerous clinical trials of medications and technologies to treat stroke and other cerebrovascular conditions. He has lectured widely on related topics and has published extensively in world renowned peer-reviewed journals such as Stroke, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery. He also has published in books on stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology and of Vascular Neurology.
