The Honorable Elaine Bloom, former Florida State Representative, has been named president and chief executive officer of Plaza Health Network, a not-for-profit network of rehabilitation and skilled nursing centers in Miami-Dade County.Bloom has provided leadership to South Florida for over 40 years. She served two different tenures in the Florida House of Representatives – the first from 1974-1978, the other from 1986-2000 – and chaired eight different committees and subcommittees including Health Care, and Social and Economic Services. She was the prime sponsor of more than 100 major new laws and was elected Speaker Pro Tempore (1992-1994).
