As a nurse in the emergency department (ED) of Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale for the past four years, Noelia Miller, RN, advocates for patients; communicates changes to care teams; stabilizes patients with lifesaving interventions; supports the flow of the unit with patient intakes, discharges and transfers; documents care; mentors new staff and students; and assists with conscious sedation procedures. She is skilled in triage, acute and chronic care, and perioperative patient management. A strong collaborator, Miller effectively and efficiently works with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care for adult and pediatric patients. She was previously with West Boca Medical Center’s ED in Boca Raton and outpatient surgery services at Broward Health Imperial Point in Fort Lauderdale. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Miller earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Keiser University in Fort Lauderdale and Associate of Arts from Palm Beach State College in Boca Raton.
