Gail Grasso, Director of Cardiovascular Services, was recently presented with a proclamation signed by all of the County Commissioners and the Clerk/Comptroller. This proclamation is in conjunction with JFK Medical Center’s Heart and Vascular Institute celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing quality-focused & caring comprehensive cardiac services.

(l-r) Joshua Kievel, M.D., Do-Director of the Catheterization Lab; Rosemarie Hayes, Chief Nursing Officer; Gail Grasso, Director of Cardiovascular Services; and Malcolm Dorman, M.D., Medical Director Cardiac Surgery, Medical Director of the Valvular Heart Institute.

What started as a single catheterization laboratory in 1987 is now one of the top cardiovascular programs in the country. Thanks to the extraordinary commitment and dedication of their surgeons, physicians and staff, along with the exceptional support of the community, the Heart and Vascular Institute at JFK Medical Center has grown from a single Cath lab in 1987 to a world-class cardiac program. They now perform more angioplasties and other cardiology procedures than any other program in Palm Beach County.
