At the South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners meeting today, April 5, 2016, voted and approved Aurelio M. Fernandez, III as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Memorial Healthcare System. The vote by commissioners was 7-0. Fernandez is currently serving as the interim President and CEO of Memorial Healthcare System. Prior to being appointed this position by the Board last month, Fernandez served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2012 – early 2016.
All the commissioners expressed their thoughts about the process and how they came to their reason for voting for Fernandez.
