For the past decade, FIU has offered the only face-to-face Pre-licensing Healthcare Risk Management Program in South Florida approved by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). This non-credit, certificate program prepares an individual to work in settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare agencies, and private health organizations by enhancing their skills in: HIPAA, Federal and State Regulations, Claims Management, Risk Reduction, and more. The program is delivered on Saturdays over a 15-week period. This non-credit certificate program provides a wealth of information for controlling risk professionally and personally in healthcare settings. Some of the topics include:
