Sharon Balasco, a nurse at Florida Medical Center, is being recognized with the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses for being a team player and collaborating with fellow nurses to deliver the best care for her patients. Sharon was nominated by a family member of a patient that recently passed away. She was selected for going above and beyond the call of duty and the family member that nominated her even came back to the hospital for the award ceremony.
