Florida Medical Center has appointed Dr. Frank J. Vittimberga, F.A.C.S., as the hospital’s new chief medical officer.
 
In addition to being an experienced trauma and general surgeon, Dr. Vittimberga has three years of experience as a chief medical officer and has held numerous leadership positions in a hospital setting. He previously served as chief medical officer at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, TX and as director of the hospital’s Breast Care Center
 
Dr. Vittimberga earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He attended medical school and completed his surgical internship and residency at University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.
