Dr. Angela Prestia, the Chief Nursing Officer for nearly six years at Good Samaritan Medical Center, was recently honored for her career accomplishments from her alma mater, Florida Atlantic University (FAU). The university’s alumni association hosted a reception to honor the distinguished former students, with over 200 guests in attendance to celebrate their peers’ accomplishments. As a graduate of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, Prestia was one of eight to be recognized. Prestia has an extensive background in healthcare, with 37 years of nursing and healthcare administration experience. She is known as a leader in the nursing community, and has orchestrated the novice nurse leadership institute, a program that assists new nurses with developing and growing in their profession.
