January 9, 2023 – HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, a 447-bed facility, and part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in the state, is pleased to announce the opening of the Heart Failure LVAD Clinic on-campus.

The clinic is led by Cardiologist Dr. James Davenport and Cardiothoracic Surgeon Dr. Michael Sasevich. Support staff are Medical Assistant Amanda Moreno, LVAD Coordinator Silvia Pimentel RN, Director of Cardiovascular Services Alden Lombard III, Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner Claudia Escobar, and Heart Failure Coordinator Christina Alvarez RN. CEO said, “HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is excited to continue growing our focus on Advanced Heart Failure with the opening of our dedicated clinic on-campus and to continue offering the most comprehensive procedures to our patients.”
