July 22, 2024 – HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, a 497-bed full-service acute care facility, and part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in the state, today announced the unveiling of a new coffee and gift shop situated in the hospital lobby.

Recognizing the importance of creating a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, the addition of Lawnwood Café aims to provide a comforting space for relaxation and connection. Patients and their loved ones can now enjoy a soothing cup of coffee amidst a calming ambiance.
“We understand the importance of an inviting atmosphere in promoting healing and well-being,” said Lawnwood Hospital’s Chief Operating Officer, Alex Masmela. “Our cafe and gift shop is a step towards creating a more comfortable environment for our patients and their families.”
The coffee and gift shop, conveniently located in the hospital lobby, proudly serves Starbucks products and offers a diverse menu of high-quality coffee options, along with a selection of refreshments, snacks and gifts. This initiative aligns with the hospital’s ongoing commitment to holistic patient care, emphasizing medical treatment and the overall well-being of those under our care.
“I’m so excited that Lawnwood Hospital is opening a café and gift shop in the lobby,” said Jami Friend, manager of women’s services. “This is going to streamline my morning routine. I no longer have to stop on the way in, I can buy my coffee in the lobby.”
The coffee bar opened its doors on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 6:30 a.m.
