May 3, 2023 — HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital recently announced Kari Saathoff as the new vice president of human resources. Saathoff joined the hospital in 2022 as the human resources business partner.

“Kari has been an invaluable asset to our human resources department, and it has been exciting to watch her evolve professionally over the last year,” said Sally Seymour, CEO of HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. “Beyond helping countless colleagues navigate their human resource needs, Kari has been instrumental in enhancing our hospital’s culture. I am fully confident that she will continue to thrive as she takes on more advanced responsibilities and challenges in her new role.”

As human resources business partner, Saathoff helped improve and streamline the onboarding process for new caregivers and worked closely with department leaders and recruitment teams to fill key positions. She also helped relaunch the hospital’s Super Council and has been the creative inspiration behind many employee engagement events, recognitions and celebrations.

Saathoff came to HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital from Jabil, a global manufacturing services company, where she provided human resources support for more than 800 employees. Prior to Jabil, she spent several years in the hospitality industry. Saathoff has her bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Florida Gulf Coast University and her master’s degree in human resource management from Florida International University.
