March 8, 2022) – HCA Florida University Hospital, a 165-bed facility and part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the largest healthcare system in the state, today highlights its female leaders and colleagues in honor of International Women’s Day.
More than 80% of HCA Florida University Hospital’s employees are women, including ten department directors and 13 department managers. Female chief executive officer (CEO) Madeline Nava leads HCA Florida University Hospital with the support of chief nursing (CNO) officer Eileen Manniste, human resources vice president April Adigun, and ethics and compliance officer (ECO) Carla Johnson.
“International Women’s Day is an important opportunity to recognize and celebrate our female colleagues and their achievements,” said HCA Florida University Hospital CEO Madeline Nava. “In the 16 weeks since we opened, we’ve had a lot to celebrate in terms of internal launches and successful firsts and our female colleagues played a significant role.”
Female Air Force veteran Dr. Sabrine Semoin performed the facility’s first surgical procedure days after the hospital opened in November 2021. Semoin is one of nearly 160 female credentialed physicians at HCA Florida University Hospital.
