Health Foundation of South Florida recently presented its prestigious Concern Awards at a recognition luncheon at the JW Marriott in Miami. Two individuals received the award and a $25,000 grant while four runners-up were each given a $10,000 grant for the health-related non-profit organization of their choice. One new organization was awarded a $10,000 grant.

According to Health Foundation Board Chairman Sheldon D. Dagen “Our selection process enabled community organizations and individuals to nominate candidates. A panel of community-based judges had the difficult task of determining the finalists.” He added, “They selected individuals whose invaluable contributions have enhanced the wellness and quality of life for people in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.”
