December 20, 2022Healthcare Network has received a $20,000 grant from Suncoast Credit Union to help support its Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® which provides dental care directly to children and families in underserved communities. Funds will support Healthcare Network’s commitment to improving access to care in Collier County by eliminating barriers that keep vulnerable populations from obtaining essential medical services.

“We are grateful to the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation for their generous support of our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®,” said Patty Inks, director of dental operations for Healthcare Network. “With this grant, we can bring care to people beyond our practices and straight into the communities that need it the most.”

Since 2004, the Care Mobile has traveled to schools, community centers and neighborhoods to deliver care to children throughout Collier County. In 2021, the Care Mobile provided 2,759 sealants and 1,872 oral exams and screenings.

“As a part of the Suncoast Credit Union mission to promote education, health and emotional well-being of children in our communities, we are glad to collaborate with Healthcare Network to reduce health disparities to help children live healthier lives unimpeded by medical or dental issues,” said Cindy Helton, Executive Director of the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. “Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has helped provide a better future for the children of our community and we are proud to continue supporting organizations that help us accomplish our goals.”

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® is just one of the ways Healthcare Network is breaking barriers to healthcare in Collier County.
