American College  of Healthcare Executives distinction

February 25, 2021 – Emily Ptaszek, Psy.D., MBA, FACHE, president and CEO of Healthcare Network, the only Federally Qualified Health Center in Collier County, recently became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. She is now privileged to bear the FACHE® credential, which signifies board certification in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow.

Fellow status represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education hours, demonstrating professional/community involvement and passing a comprehensive examination. Fellows also are committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years.

“The healthcare management field plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to the people in our communities, which makes having a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization critically important,” says Deborah J. Bowen, FACHE, CAE, president and CEO of ACHE. “By becoming an ACHE Fellow and earning the distinction of board certification from ACHE, healthcare leaders like Dr. Ptaszek demonstrate a commitment to excellence in serving their patients and the community.”

With an MBA and a Doctor of Psychology, Ptaszek has developed a reputation as a highly collaborative leader within the organization and throughout the community. She is passionate about building high-performing, cohesive, and purpose-driven teams that can bring their expertise to create lasting change, drive process improvement, and build healthy, trustworthy organizations. She believes leadership is about service and building genuine relationships to achieve the greatest possible collective impact—especially important as the community addresses the coronavirus pandemic.
