May 16, 2022 – Healthcare Network has received $72,648.03 from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida to support the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Visiting Title 1 schools, those with a high percentage of students from low-income families, as well as select after-school programs and family-oriented festivals, Healthcare Network’s pediatric mobile unit drives thousands of miles to bring care to underserved children throughout Collier County. In operation since 2004, the Care Mobile provides an array of services such as dental screenings, sealants, fluoride and school physicals. In 2021, the Care Mobile provided 2,759 sealants and 1,872 oral exams and screenings.

“Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida is an incredible supporter of our Care Mobile, and for children without access to regular dental care, this service is essential in preventing oral pain, disease and infections,” said Dr. Douglas Keck, dental director for Healthcare Network. “It is wonderful to have a strong community collaborator who values and sees the importance of circumventing many of the barriers vulnerable children face when accessing dental services by bringing care directly to them.”
