The Caring Hearts Auxiliary of Florida Atlantic University’s Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center, along with generous sponsors and walkers, raised more than $300,000 at the seventh annual Keep Memories Alive walk affair. Proceeds benefit scholarships to Day Center participants, Day Center activities and caregiver support programs.The ‘50s-themed “Bobby Socks Optional” event took place inside the Town Center at Boca Raton and included something for everyone. Close to 300 walkers enjoyed singing and dancing by KP Productions and music by Magic 102.7 before strolling around the mall. Approximately 20 teams participated, including 75 students from Spanish River High School’s National Honor Society. The “Royal Palm Street Walkers” raised more than $1,800.
