Hialeah Hospital Appoints New Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery Program

Hialeah Hospital has named Werner Andrade, M.D., the new medical director of The Center for Weight Loss Surgery at Hialeah Hospital. Dr. Andrade joins Hialeah Hospital with extensive operating room experience in a wide-range of minimally invasive and endoscopic surgeries. Dr. Andrade is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

 

Most recently, Dr. Andrade helped direct Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe, AZ, in becoming a Bariatric Center. While on-staff as a general and bariatric surgeon at the hospital he performed general, advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures including Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and Lap-Band placement.
