May 24, 2023 – Since 2018, Holy Cross Health has partnered with ArtServe to feature exhibitions by South Florida female artists at the Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center at Holy Cross HealthPlex.

That long-standing relationship was recognized with an inaugural Impact Award in the business partner category from ArtServe, which honored the most transformative and influential arts supporters in media, the community, business and philanthropy as well as the arts incubator’s most memorable artists, during a reception celebrating the award winners.

“The female artist exhibitions at the Women’s Center reflect the fact that art is an invaluable, therapeutic tool to facilitate healing from illness, pain, loss or other emotional struggles,” Holy Cross Heath President and CEO Mark Doyle said. “The artwork is welcoming and calming not only for patients and visitors, but also for our staff. We appreciate ArtServe’s support of local artists and the connection with the community through art in unexpected places. We thank ArtServe for recognizing us as a valued business partner.”

Accepting the award for Holy Cross Health was Stewardship and Donor Relations Specialist Karen Parker.

The Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center at Holy Cross HealthPlex, 1000 N.E. 56th Street in Fort Lauderdale, is a comprehensive healthcare center specifically designed for women and by women. Services are offered in the specialty areas of family medicine/women’s health, obstetrics/gynecology, cardiology and endocrinology. In addition to the gallery of art, there is also a medical spa, a meditation and healing garden, education classrooms, a café and teaching kitchen called the Blessed Bistro and a lifestyle/counseling room. The Women’s Center was funded entirely through philanthropy.
