Internal medicine physicians Shilpa Raval, D.O., and Rafael Gutierrez, M.D., have joined Holy Cross Medical Group.

Prior to joining Holy Cross, Dr. Raval completed her residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. During her residency, she gained valuable experience treating patients in the Intensive Care Unit in addition to overseeing a team of up to three interns caring for 20 patients at once.

Dr. Raval earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She then received her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Georgia in Suwanee, GA.

 

 

 

Dr. Gutierrez recently completed the Holy Cross Health and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program and was elected as a class representative for the Graduate Medical Education Committee in 2022. He has served as a volunteer providing medical care to underserved populations at Light of the World Clinic in Oakland Park, FL and with Medical Volunteers of UC, a student organization run through the University of Cincinnati. He also served as a medical assistant at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Dr. Gutierrez earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and associate of arts degree in biology.
