Hospice by the Sea recently appointed three professionals to key positions within the organization.

Neil Miransky, D.O., is chief medical officer, overseeing all facets of care for patients and their families. Dr. Miransky is distinguished as one of 60 physicians in the country who is fellowship-trained in hospice and palliative care.

Gilbert Brown has been promoted to chief operating officer. He began his career with Hospice by the Sea in the summer of 2005 as a consultant in strategic planning, and was named vice president of operations and performance improvement in 2006.

Joan Buddi, R.N., was named administrator of FocusCare, Hospice by the Sea, Inc.’s home health agency. For the past year, Buddi has also served as director of patient care services for FocusCare.
