Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) has named Dr. Jill M. Sumfest as the health benefits companys market medical officer for its South Florida commercial operations.
Dr. Sumfest was named to the new regional commercial post by Humana South Florida Commercial Operations Market Leader Colin DArcy. She joins Humana in South Florida after serving as chief medical officer for Preferred Health Systems in Wichita, KS. Dr. Sumfest is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
