Lula Thomas, R.N., BSN, MSA, has joined Indian River Medical Center as director of Surgical Services. Working with B.E. Smith Consultation and Interim Management since 2008, Thomas also served in interim positions at Sacramento Medical Center in California, Chester Crozer Medical Center in Chester, PA, and Lafayette General Medical Center in Louisiana.Prior to these positions, she was director of Perioperative Services and Cardiac Cath Lab Services at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC; and director of Perioperative Services at Presbyterian Healthcare in Charlotte, NC; St. Francis and St. Joseph hospitals in Wichita, KS; and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.
