Jackson Health System and community leaders recently celebrated the opening of Jackson’s sixth UHealth Jackson Urgent Care Center in Coral Gables.

The urgent center’s ribbon cutting ceremony marked an incredible milestone in the Jackson Miracle-Building Bond, which was approved by Miami-Dade County voters nearly 10 years ago.

The new urgent care center brings culmination to the 2013 bond, which prioritized delivering more than $2 billion worth of capital investment, revitalizing Jackson’s facilities and expanding their footprint in the community.

In addition to this new urgent care center, Jackson has locations in Country Walk, Keystone Point, Cutler Bay, Doral and North Dade. Jackson’s urgent care network was the first in Florida to be designated autism-friendly by the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. With this designation, Jackson staff are specially trained, and each of Jackson’s facilities have a designated sensory-friendly exam room to give all patients the opportunity to experience health care in a safe and controlled environment.
