During the August 2011 Public Health Trust Financial Recovery Board meeting, two groups were honored with Achiever awards for July and August 2011 by Carlos A. Migoya, president and chief executive officer of Jackson Health System, and Marcos José Lapciuc, chairman of the Public Health Trust Financial Recovery Board.
The group honored for July 2011 was the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit was recognized for teamwork and communication by a grateful patient recovering from heart surgery for mitral valve replacement.
The group honored for August 2011 was the Health Information Management Unit at Jackson North Medical Center. The Health Information Management Unit at Jackson North was recognized for commitment.
