James Thaw has been selected as Chief Executive Officer of Broward Health Broward General Medical Center.
Thaw served for nearly 10 years as CEO of Lafayette General Medical Center in Louisiana.
His selection as CEO of Broward General brings Thaw back to familiar territory. Early career posts included leadership at two Humana hospitals: Bennett Hospital (now Westside Regional Medical Center) in Plantation and Pompano Beach Medical Center. He held key executive positions at hospitals in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina prior to his appointment as CEO at Lafayette General.
Thaw received his bachelors degree in psychology and his masters degree in health administration from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Hospital Association.
