April 6, 2022 – Jason Wheeler, MD, has joined the Department of Vascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital.
Board-certified in internal medicine and vascular medicine, Dr. Wheeler’s clinical interests include: pulmonary embolism; DVT; fibromuscular dysplasia; aortic aneurysms; lymphedema; peripheral arterial disease; carotid stenosis; diabetes, varicose veins, and peripheral venous interventions.
Dr. Wheeler earned his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), College of Medicine in 2011 while concurrently earning a master of science in clinical research at the MUSC College of Graduate Studies. He continued to pursue his interest in academic research at the MUSC College of Graduate Studies, earning a master of science in biomedical science and a fellowship in clinical and translational research ethics.
Upon completing a residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, Dr. Wheeler went on to complete a fellowship in vascular medicine at the Foundation where he was honored as a Clinical Fellow of the Month.

An avid teacher, Dr. Wheeler has been recognized by multiple societies for patient and student education as a clinical instructor with the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. He has written multiple scientific journal articles and book chapters on his basic and translational research in vascular physiology and is a certified Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Wheeler is an active member of the Society for Vascular Medicine, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
