Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation donated $10 million to the South Broward Hospital District, representing the first major payment to the district for the new Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, scheduled to open this summer.
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation presented a $10 million check to the South Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners at the Board’s February meeting. Construction of the four-story, 160,000 square foot facility is expected to be complete in May and the Children’s Hospital opening is slated for July, 2011.
