Retired orthopedic surgeon Joel Schenkman, M.D., has been appointed treasurer of the Board of Directors of Baptist Health South Florida Foundation. Dr. Schenkman has been a Baptist Hospital Foundation member since 1992.Dr. Schenkman heads up a variety of companies in industries ranging from real estate development to utilities. He is president and CEO of Old Bridge Park Corporation, International Data Depository, Inc., and Sun River Utilities, Inc.
Dr. Schenkman attended undergraduate school at Emory University, and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.
