Josie Romano Brown to Retire as President of Mercy Foundation

After three decades of service to South Florida, including nearly a decade of service to Mercy Hospital, Josie Romano Brown, revered president of Mercy Foundation, has announced her plan to retire from full-time employment. Romano Brown, who, since 2001, has served in the role as overseer of the hospital’s principal support arm, has made significant strides throughout her tenure, heading-up pivotal fundraising efforts and community outreach projects.

Prior to joining Mercy Foundation, Romano Brown served as Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for the University of Miami. Romano Brown was president and founder of her own company, Romano Brown & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm.
