Jupiter Medical Center is pleased to announce that John A.P. Rimmer, MD, FACS, FRCS, FRCSED, FICS, will lead the Comprehensive Breast Care Program as its Medical Director. Consistently ranked a “Top Doctor” in Breast Surgery, Dr. Rimmer comes with extensive educational and professional experience both in the United States and abroad.
Board-certified, extensively trained and internationally practiced in oncoplastic surgery, Dr. Rimmer specializes in oncoplastic breast surgery, which combines the dual benefits and advances of breast cancer treatments and plastic surgery and utilizes the leading-edge technology to treat patients with a multidisciplinary approach. Dr. Rimmer brings to Jupiter Medical Center significant experience with intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT), an innovative treatment combining surgery with one single dose of radiation. He will also join Jupiter Medical Center’s Physician Group, comprised of top physicians across all disciplines based at the hospital.
Dr. Rimmer is Board Certified in General Surgery and completed his residency at Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Rimmer completed his education at King’s College Hospital Medical School in London, England, with eight years of surgical training and has been practicing medicine since 1996.
