Donors cheers to transformational year while looking ahead to the future
May 20, 2026 – Jupiter Medical Center Foundation recently welcomed supporters to its Annual Donor Reception, an evening celebrating a year of unprecedented growth, innovation, and national recognition for Jupiter Medical Center.
Held each spring, the event brought together philanthropists and hospital leadership to reflect on recent milestones and share a forward‑looking vision for the region’s health care future.

The reception celebrated a historic season for the region’s only independent, not-for-profit hospital, highlighted by the opening of the new Tim and Jayne Donahue Patient Care Tower, a result of the largest single donation in the hospital’s history—$35 million, a strategic collaboration with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), multiple national and regional awards recognizing excellence in quality, safety, and patient experience,—and the launch of a $500 million fundraising campaign, Generational Health.
During the evening, attendees received updates on the newly opened Patient Care Tower, a five-story, 92-bed facility designed to enhance the inpatient experience and improve clinical outcomes. Organized by specialty, the tower features dedicated floors for oncology, cardiovascular care, and orthopedics, creating a seamless, patient‑centered model of care.
Leaders also highlighted Jupiter Medical Center’s landmark collaboration with the Hospital for Special Surgery, a leading academic medical center focused on musculoskeletal health. The partnership expands access to globally recognized orthopedic expertise while maintaining the personalized care and trusted experience patients expect from the No. 1 rated regional medical center.
Traci Simonsen, Chief Philanthropy Officer of Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, discussed how philanthropy continues to drive innovation throughout the system. So far, the Foundation has raised more than half of its $500 million Generational Health campaign goal. Donations to the campaign will strengthen and expand the hospital’s cornerstone programs, including cancer care, cardiovascular services, orthopedics, neurosciences, and women’s initiatives, through the recruitment of top-tier health care professionals, the adoption of state-of-the-art technology, strengthened clinical capabilities, and an enhanced patient experience from diagnosis through recovery.
