Awarded a 5-Star Rating for Overall Quality in 2021 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

April 29, 2021 – Already ranked the No. 1 hospital in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, as well as the region’s top destination for world-class healthcare, Jupiter Medical Center continues to add to its long list of recognitions and awards for its renowned physician team, high quality care and advanced technologies.

National magazine Newsweek selected Jupiter Medical Center as one of the World’s Best Hospitals for 2021 in its annual ranking of 164,500 hospitals around the globe and over 6,000 throughout the U.S. According to Newsweek, the hospitals depicted on its highly anticipated annual ranking rise above the rest in a number of areas including consistent medical excellence, exceptional physicians, top nursing care, support staff expertise, and state-of-the-art technology.

Right on the heels of the prestigious Newsweek announcement comes another lofty accolade as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services awarded Jupiter Medical Center a 5-Star Rating for Overall Hospital Quality. Jupiter Medical Center is the only hospital in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties to be awarded this top level grade of care.

“We are honored with both Newsweek naming Jupiter Medical Center as one of best hospitals in the world and the award of five stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services,” says Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “These recognitions are testaments of the tremendous dedication and expertise of our physicians and nurses and the highly advanced technologies we use to provide our exceptional care.”

The Newsweek Magazine World’s Best Hospitals list ranks healthcare facilities in 25 countries, from North America to Asia, that are selected based on standard of living, life expectancy, population, number of hospitals and supporting data. Analyzed data includes: recommendations from doctors, hospital managers, other healthcare professionals, and medical experts; results from patient surveys; and key performance indicators.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Overall Quality Star Ratings are calculated using data on mortality, safety, readmission, patient experience, and timeliness and effectiveness of care.
