February 12 2021 – HCA Healthcare has named Kenneth Jones, MHA, MBA, chief executive officer (CEO) of Northwest Medical Center, effective March 15. In his new role, Jones will oversee the growing 289-bed hospital, which has served communities across northern Broward County and southern Palm Beach County for more than 30 years.
Jones joins Northwest Medical Center with more than 20 years of experience in hospital administration and clinical operations. Most recently, Jones served as president of AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, where he was responsible for leading daily operations at the 215-bed, full-service facility and its 802 total employees, 467 medical staff members and 102 resident physicians.

Before joining AMITA Health Saint Francis Hospital, Jones was CEO at St. Joseph Hospital and at The Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network, both in Fort Wayne. With roots in Florida, Jones also previously served as CEO at Heekin Orthopedic Specialists in Jacksonville.
Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida and a Master of Healthcare Administration/Master of Business Administration at University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
