SHAPE students at Dr. Michael M. Krop High School have honored the Miami Beach Community Health Center (MBCHC) by selecting the organization to receive a grant from the students. SHAPE is a student organization which stands for Students Helping Achieve Philanthropic Excellence.
MBCHC will be using the money to provide “lunch and learn programs” for the community about topics such as: asthma, child safety, parenting, and disease prevention. The funds will also help the center to give out important health items like car safety seats, and breathing devices.
MBCHC Assistant Vice President of Patient Services, Richard Nixon (left), accepted the SHAPE grant from Dr. Michael M. Krop High School student representative at the 2007 Awards Banquet at the Signature Grand in Davie.
