The Lee County Medical Society is now taking nominations to honor all Lee County physicians through the LCMS Annual Medical Service Award Program for their dedication to medicine.
Five awards will be presented to practicing or retired physicians and two awards to non-physicians in our community. The public, physicians, staff and patients may nominate.
The five physician awards are as follows:
◊ Award for Citizenship and Community Service
◊ Scientific Achievement Award
◊ Award for Health Education
◊ Award for Leadership in Professionalism
◊ Lifetime Achievement Award
The two non-physician awards will be:
◊ Non-Physician Award of Appreciation (For RN’s, ARNP’s, PA’s and other medical staff)
◊ Distinguished Layperson’s Service Award (Not a physician or medical staff)

Deadline for receiving nomination applications will be September 30. Applications submitted after September 30 will need to be resubmitted the following year.
